Monroe County EMS provides emergency medical coverage for the citizens of Monroe County. 

Our ambulances are staffed with two crews and one on-call crew 24 hours a day / 7days a week.

All ambulances are staffed with a minimum of 1 EMT-Paramedic and 1 EMT-Basic.  Each ambulance is equipped with high standard medical equipment in order to better care for our patients.  Monroe County EMS is given medical oversight by Monroe County Medical Center and Medical Director, Dr. Terrance Leveck.

Monroe County Enhanced 9-1-1 center provides continuous coverage dispatch.  E9-1-1 directly dispatches EMS and fire agencies; law enforcement calls are handed off to the appropriate agency for dispatching.  The Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system displays the location and phone number of every call that comes into the center.  E9-1-1 also maintains and assigns geo-coding compliant, GPS-determined addresses for the residents of Monroe County.  If you have need for a new address or are unsure of your correct address, please don't hesitate to contact us.
