The Health Information Management Department focuses on
collection, integration, and analysis of primary and
secondary healthcare data in an effort to ensure the
availability of quality and timely information.
The "HIM" Staff interprets diagnoses and procedures into
codes for payment to healthcare providers and third party
payers. Healthcare providers' dictated reports are
transcribed here. The patients' medical records are retained
in this department. Release of information is processed by
the "HIM" Staff with confidentiality and security of data
maintained.
