Monroe County Medical Center is accredited by The Joint
Commission. That means we voluntarily submit to
evaluations of our compliance with nationwide hospital
standards on a continuing basis. Joint Commission
accreditation is your assurance that Monroe County Medical
Center practices continuous quality monitoring to provide
you with quality healthcare.
Joint Commission accreditation is
recognized internationally as a symbol of quality that
reflects an organization's commitment to meeting certain
performance standards. To earn and maintain the Joint
Commission's Gold Seal of Approval tm, an
organization undergoes an unannounced onsite survey by a
Joint Commission survey team at least every (3) years.
In that regard, if you have
any concerns about patient care or safety that have not been
addressed please contact Laura Emmert, Risk Manager /
Performance Improvement
at (270) 487-9231 ext. 1190.
If
the concerns in question cannot be resolved at this level,
you can contact the Joint Commission. The Joint
Commission is a nonprofit organization that reviews more
than 15,000 healthcare organizations. To contact Joint
