For us at Monroe County Medical Center, this represents a great privilege. That is why we are committed to providing services that meet the needs of the community and to continue are mission to provide quality healthcare to those we serve.
Annual Statistics
$2,289,888 Total Community Benefit provided by Monroe County Medical Center in 2010. $6,274 Dollars spent per day as community benefit to those we serve. $879,280 Charity Care Monroe County Medical Center feels that no one should be denied access to quality healthcare. Charity care is free or discounted care provided to the growing number of uninsured or people whose incomes meet certain poverty guidelines. $1,022,163 Government Sponsored Care (Unpaid cost of Medicaid Services) Government programs provide health coverage for thousands in our area. However, the amount paid for medical services are less than the cost to provide the care. $258,866 Ambulance Total amount of losses the hospital had in order to provide ambulance services to the citizens of Monroe County. $123,307 Other Community Benefits Monroe County Medical Center provided other community benefits through scholarships, tuition reimbursement, educational assistance, contributions, health fairs and community support groups. 21% Percent of patients seen and treated in the Medical Center ER that had no insurance coverage. 29% Percent of patients seen in the Medical Center ER whose treatment was partially reimbursed by Medicaid. $10,442,468 Wages and benefits paid to over 260 full and part-time employees during fiscal year 2010.
