General Visitation
Guidelines
1.
Visiting hours are from 9:00
a.m until 9:00 p.m. These
hours apply to all patients.
2. A maximum of 2 persons
may be permitted to visit a
patient at any one time.
Critical and/or terminally
ill patients may be allowed
additional visitors if
approved by the physician
and/or the nursing shift
supervisor.
3. No visitation will be at
the patient’s request, the
family’s request, or by a
physician’s order. A sign
will be posted on the door
of the patient’s room. The
nursing staff will be
responsible for notifying
the information desk.
4. An overnight visitor will
be allowed in all private
rooms. The semi-private
rooms may have an overnight
visitor if permitted by the
nursing shift supervisor and
visitor is of the same sex.
This is to allow for the
comfort and privacy of the
other patient in the
semi-private room. It is
recommended that only one
visitor be allowed to stay
overnight with a patient.
Children under the age of 16
should not stay overnight
with a patient.
5. Children under 12 must be
accompanied by an adult at
all times.
6. Dress code for patients
and visitors requires shoes,
shirts and/or housecoats.
7. Visitors must not
interfere with the
activities of the
professional staff. Quiet
should be maintained.
Smoking is prohibited except
in the designated areas
outside of the building.
Visitors should not bring
food to patients unless
permitted to do by the
physician of the nursing
staff.
8. An adult family member is
required to stay with all
pediatric patients under 12
years of age.
9. Visitors are advised to
consider the patient’s need
for rest and limit visits
accordingly.
10. If the visitation rules
are severely abused, the
nursing shift supervisor
should be notified.

hospital when sick with a
communicable disease and
